Get Involved
Every contribution — whether an hour of your time, a financial donation, or a partnership with your organization — directly supports fresh food access for Georgia families. Here are the many ways you can help end food insecurity in our state.
Mobile Pantry Volunteer
Join our team of 240 active volunteers who help sort, pack, and distribute produce at mobile pantry stops across Georgia every week. Shifts run from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and include truck unloading, produce box assembly, distribution line management, and community engagement. No experience is required — we provide full training, safety gear, and a volunteer appreciation meal at every shift. Most volunteers serve two to four shifts per month at the distribution point nearest their home. Groups of five or more from faith-based organizations, corporate teams, or school service clubs can schedule dedicated volunteer days.
Financial Contributions
As a registered 501(c)(3) organization (EIN: 58-3920147), all financial contributions to Georgia Food for Health are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. Your donations directly fund produce procurement from Georgia farms, truck fuel and maintenance, dietitian salaries, meal preparation supplies, and garden startup materials. A donation of $25 provides one family with a full week of fresh produce. A donation of $100 sponsors a family for an entire month. A donation of $1,200 covers an entire year of weekly produce delivery for one household. Monthly recurring gifts provide predictable funding that allows us to plan distribution routes and farm purchase contracts with confidence.
Sponsor a Family
Our Family Sponsorship Program connects individual donors and small businesses with specific families enrolled in our Medically-Tailored Meals program. Sponsors commit to a monthly contribution of $100 that covers the full cost of preparing and delivering customized weekly meal boxes to a patient managing a serious chronic condition. Sponsors receive quarterly impact updates including anonymized health outcome data and a personal note from the family they support. This program ensures that our most medically vulnerable clients receive uninterrupted nutritional support regardless of fluctuations in grant funding.
Organize a Food Drive
Our Food Drive Toolkit provides everything your organization, school, workplace, or faith community needs to organize a successful food collection event. We focus on shelf-stable staples that complement the fresh produce distributed through our mobile pantries, ensuring that families receive a nutritionally complete food package.
